Din(dean) Rasheed Jenkins Sr. is the President & CEO, Chief Facilitator & Collaborator at Supply The WhyTM. Din’s work with Supply The Why has been featured in FORBES magazine, Shoutout LA, The Brockton Enterprise and Patriot Ledger. Din was a 2021 Black Excellence on the Hill Honoree, which was awarded by the Black and Latino Legislative Caucus. Supply The Why specializes in DE&I, leadership and cultural development. Supply The Why accomplishes this by providing expert communication in facilitating difficult conversations about a number of topics ranging from Police Use of Force to Race Relations.
Supply The Why facilitates these conversations in custom crafted training sessions and webcasts that can be found on Linkedin, Facebook, YouTube, Amazon, Apple, iHeartRadio and Spotify via Supply The Why. Din is the Deputy Chief of the Boston Housing Authority Public Safety Department. In this role Din is in charge of the day to day operations. This includes overseeing Accreditation, Public Records Requests, staffing levels and training within the Police and Safety Officer divisions. Din also teaches Defensive Tactics & Use of Force; Integrating Communication, Assessment & Tactics; MILO Range 2000 simulation for the Municipal Police Training Council.
Din is a certified Excited Delirium Trainer. Din is also an FBI certified Crisis Negotiator and former member of the Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council (MetroLEC) Crisis Negotiations Team. Din has a MS from Lasell University in Crisis & Emergency Management, Bachelors in Criminal Justice from UMass Boston and is a member of the National Criminal Justice Honor Society, Alpha Phi Sigma.
